Railroad contracts, receipt, and letter, circa 1892-1893.

This collection includes a contract between H.L. Harralson, P.H. Harralson, D.C. Bacon, Martin F. Amorous, Burton Smith, P.B. Lawrence, W.S. Turner, B.L. McIntosh, and Lavender R. Ray, to run the railway line through Ray's property, as well as a draft of a contract between J.R. Lewis, Josiah Sherman, J.H. Hilman, John B. Harris, and P.B. Lawrence, in which Lewis agrees to pay the other gentlemen fifty cents per foot for their land, with payment due at the completion of the line. The third item is an unsigned, undated receipt, with no amount, to Lewis, Sherman, Hilman, and Harris. The fourth item is a letter announcing the contract to build an electric route from Atlanta to Silver Lake. It asks all landowners along the proposed route to a meeting at the law offices of Smith and Pendleton on December 2, 1893.
